This mother tincture can be used as a sedative for emotional problems such as nervousness and anxiety. The mild effect ensures that the animal doesn`t become drowsy (sleepy).

Further advice can be asked on this subforum.

My information is that this MT is too slow in showing the results. Is that correct?

No, not really, if you take the symptoms (=dog is anxious + nervous) and the body weight of the animal into account, i.e. larger animals usually need more drops as a dose. Generally speaking one should give 5-20 drops, 3 times a day for 6-8 weeks, or even longer, in chronic cases. So we should always decide on the number of drops dependent on the body weight of the dog. This MT can be given/taken for a longer period without any problems.

However, if a dog is weak and nervous with a poor appetite it`s better to give Avena sativa MT, esp. during the recovery phase of an illness. Same dosing as for Passiflora.

For people the classic symptom linked with Passiflora is insomnia. People who respond best to Passiflora (MT or in potency) tend to lie awake at night and become exhausted. They are prone to odd (=strange) sensations; they may feel that their eyeballs are protruding, as if being pushed out of their heads, or that the tops of their heads are lifting off. Lying down they may feel that their heels are rising up in the air. Passiflora is considered particularly effective for alcoholics and screaming children. This remedy may also help whooping cough that is worse at night and insomnia accompanied by hemorrhoids, pain in the coccyx or discomfort during or just before menstruation.

Modalities : Symptoms better from remaining quiet. Symptoms worse at night; from mental anxiety and excitement; from exhaustion; after meals.

Difference of opinion, criticism and comments are all part of the forum culture as well as of real life. I don't think small oppositions should cause serious disturbance or trigger major changes. However, the choice is yours. How you react is up to you.
