Is Arthritis Curable? Arthritis Treatments
Orthodox Medical System
"Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic disease and is said to have no known cure. It is to be managed medically, socially and emotionally. The patient and his family is to be educated about the nature and course of the disease. Main aim of the treatment (whatever that is) is to reduce the pain and discomfort, prevent deformities and loss of joint function and maintain a productive and active life."
This is what the orthodox medical system has to briefly say about rheumatoid arthritis. Nearly same is the situation for psoriatic arthritis and osteoarthritis. They are not considered curable.
Homeopathic Treatment of Arthritis
Homeopathy has the capability to cure arthritis. The system does not consider rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis or any other type of arthritis as totally incurable and does not treat by the name of the disease either. There are a number of homeopathic medicines to treat different conditions of arthritis but there is no magic medicine that would work for every type and in every condition. The medicines would be different for each type because symptoms are not exactly the same in every case. Homeopathic system needs to take the case in detail covering physical symptoms, mental and even emotional states, modalities, lifestyle, eating habits, occupational details, family history of diseases particularly related with arthritis and so on. It is the complete and exhaustive analysis of these factors that would indicate the medicine(s) most suitable for the case, which automatically takes care of the underlying cause. Another factor that becomes decisive is the stage of the disease. In very advanced cases, the treatment becomes extremely difficult, nearly impossible. Therefore, the treatment must begin as soon as the disease is diagnosed. Remember that homeopathy or any other system, cannot cure arthritis very rapidly. Treatment of arthritis is a very slow process. It may take quite long to cure. Patient as well as the doctor would need to be very patient before they can see the cure. No miracles are to be expected.
Arthritis needs careful management. Along with medication, due attention must also be paid to the diet. This is very important. If this factor is ignored, the treatment would become exceedingly difficult even with accurately chosen medicines. Whichever treatment system you choose, you must ask your physician for details on what to take and what to avoid. As a general rule, as for as practicable, you should avoid all the items that create dryness in the body, that is acidic stuff. This precaution alone would gradually give some relief but still you must follow the advice of your physician.
